About

Su Young Lee

Learning experience designer. Call me Su!

Who I am. I am a learning experience designer with a background in editing, teaching, research, project management, and academic publishing, all of which demand creative and empathetic approaches to meeting tight deadlines, communicating effectively, and balancing independent and collaborative work. I have over 6 years of experience in designing instructional materials and facilitating learning opportunities. Currently, I am also a dual-title Ph.D. candidate in English and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Pennsylvania State University (degree expected 2024), which informs my commitment to building tools and environments that are anti-racist, feminist, and inclusive.

What I offer. I am continually seeking growth both as a lifelong learner open to developing new skills and as someone who can enable effective learning for others. I hope to contribute to collaborative and supportive environments that incorporate diverse perspectives toward common goals.

What I am looking for. I am always open to new professional connections and collaborations. I also welcome any freelance or volunteer projects that would be a good fit for my background and skills in instructional design and eLearning development. Please don't hesitate to contact me!

What else I love. I'm full of curiosity (which also led me from South Korea to Aotearoa New Zealand to the US). In my spare time, I love to learn new skills and extend my creativity to cooking, baking, embroidery, crocheting, and reading and writing fiction. I am also the proud parent of two guinea pigs, Earl Grey and Chai Latte!
